FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: process involves record of vibration parameters at the investigated transmission case and further zonal filtering extraction of original case vibration signal caused by impact load, calculation of filtered signal envelope curve and its spectrum. Next is extraction of informative components, that is amplitudes of recorded vibration parameters, from the data received, definition of their statistic characteristics and estimation of dynamic tooth load on that basis. Filtered envelope signal is processed consequently by envelope curve smoothing and defining of basic frequency of the envelope curve on the basis of its spectrum analysis. Further the number of periods of case vibrations per test time is defined, and envelope derivative and minimums are calculated, boundaries, length of periods between vibration pulses and impact energy of each period are determined. At that, tooth changeover frequency should be aliquot to natural frequency of investigated transmission, and highest possible for automobile operation.

EFFECT: higher reliability of parameter calculation on the basis of obtained data.
