SUBSTANCE: according to proposed method, required speed of rotation of each gear wheel is preliminarily set, narrow-band filters are tuned to tooth meshing frequencies and frequencies multiple of tooth meshing ones, signal is taken from vibration pickup installed on housing of gear train under test, filtered by narrow-band filters and diagnostic data, thus obtained, are kept in computer memory in real time scale in form of numerical sequences after which data arrays corresponding to integer numbers of revolutions of gear wheels under test and oscillations generated by separate teeth at their turning through angular pitch are chosen from each numerical sequence, and then amplitude values of oscillations are determined on discriminated sections, and condition of gear wheel is evaluated with due account of amplitude values of oscillations. One of narrow-band filters is tuned to natural oscillation frequency of tested gear wheel, and groups of data are chosen from numerical sequences stored in computer memory corresponding to engagement of separate pairs of teeth at their through angular pitch and corresponding to single-pair and double-pair meshing and RMS values of oscillations on each of said arrays of data and ratio of corresponding maximum amplitudes of natural oscillations are found, and mean value of logarithmic decrement of attenuation of natural oscillations is used as diagnostic parameter. Invention makes it possible to use diagnostic criteria not coupled with standard values of oscillation amplitudes, place of location of vibration pickup and calibration of measuring ducts.
EFFECT: improved reliability of diagnosing.
