FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention involves simultaneous irradiation of at least two objects of identical chemical composition and physical properties, placed into thermostatic medium. Phonon mode frequency is varied by radiation angle change, energy densities of thermal phonons in high- and low-temperature objects are equated, and the sought Boltzmann constant is calculated.
EFFECT: lower fractional error of Boltzmann constant calculation and higher manufacturability of the process.
