SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a tool to mount the belt designed to laterally shift the belt into the pulley groove, ruling out, in fact, the effects of lateral forces on the pulley. The tool incorporates first element (18) in mesh with the pulley hub to transmit a radial load for mounting the pulley to the pulley hub. Case (10) has part (15) to mesh with the tool, arranged radially from the pulley hub. Second element (11) passes radially from case (10) in opposition to first element (18), the second element. having lateral shifting surface (12) to shift the belt into the pulley groove. Roll (17) has a tapered surface and passes along normal from case (10) on the radius equal, in fact, to the pulley flange radius or smaller than the latter in direction opposite to that of the pulley. Roll (17) is arranged to interact with the lateral shifting surface which ensures moving the belt, in mounting, from the roll to the lateral shifting surface.
EFFECT: ruling out lateral force effects on the pulley in mounting.
