FIELD: measuring techniques.
SUBSTANCE: method involves use of amplitude of sound vibrations as a linkage parameter, arising when a grinding wheel cuts into a work-piece in the range of natural frequencies of manufacturing systems. On the change of amplitude, the complete attenuation time of the transient process is fixed, limited by the value of the preset amplitude of the sound vibrations, on which the time constant of the manufacturing system is determined.
EFFECT: increased speed of operation and accuracy of determining time constant.
