FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machining of blanks on reciprocating table surface grinding machines. According to invention, relative travel is imparted to blank and tool. Infeed is provided by device for microfeed of blanks nonuniformly and continuously during entire grinding cycle, except for last one or several double strokes of machine table. Relationship is provided to determine feed value in each moment of time. Such operations improve quality of blank surfaces owing to the fact that wheel smoothly cuts into blank gradually increasing cutting depth and providing decrease of vibrations in machine system. EFFECT: improved quality of blank surfaces machined on reciprocating table surface grinding machines. 1 tbl, 3 dwg
