FIELD: test engineering.
SUBSTANCE: design and internal ballistic parameters of a powder gas generator are calculated. A model of the powder gas generator is made. The relationship between pressure of powder gases in the working cavity and time is registered, and there is subsequent selection, based on the obtained relationship of design parameters of the powder gas generator. For design parameters of the powder gas generator, obtained through calculation, there is further calculation of the dependence of pressure of powder gases from time in a closed constant volume, corresponding to a fixed initial volume of "ПМС". Registration of the dependence of pressure of powder gases on time is done for the working cavity in form of a sealed receiver of powder gases, the internal surface area of the cavity of which is equal to the initial surface area of the working cavity of "ПМС". Design parameters of the powder gas generator, providing for the given mode of operation of "ПМС", is obtained from the condition of providing for correspondence of the dependence, registered on the receiver, of pressure of powder gases on time of the calculated dependency of pressure of powder gases on time in a closed constant volume, corresponding to a fixed initial volume of the working cavity of "ПМС".
EFFECT: lowering of labour intensiveness and costs, as well as increased safety during experiments.
