FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: laser radiation is applied locally at wavelength 810 nanometres, radiation power 300-500 mW and exposition 60 s over whole tumour surface including 0.5-1 mm of clinically healthy tissues around. Diameter of light spot applied is 1-3 mm, and applications are marked tegularly. Thus "TTT" is performed within two stages: transpupillary thermotherapy over visible tumour border including healthy tissues at light spot diameter 1.2-2 mm is followed with application marked over other surface of tumour 2-3 months later.
EFFECT: method provides tumour regression maintaining high level of visual functions.
