FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method involves adding to the molasses, geothermal water with total mineralisation of 5.2-5.4 g/l and running water diluted to mineralisation of 4.0-4.2 g/l. Content of carbohydrates is about 18.6 g/100 cm3, while content of dibasic ammonium phosphate is 2.58 g/l. Concentrated sulphuric acid is also added so as to attain a pH of 5 at 0.4-0.6 for 100 g of molasses. Yeast culture is added and the mixture is mixed.
EFFECT: increased quantity of ethanol.
