FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to airplane engine engineering and can be used in electronic hydro mechanical automatic control systems (ACS) intended for gas turbine engines (GTE). The invention novelty consists in that the fuel metering pump (FMP), additionally and at a time with cutting in the shut-off valve (AOV), is set to a position corresponding to fuel flow rate in the "throttle down" conditions (TD). With the AOV cut off, fuel is fed in the aforesaid TD conditions in the engine combustion chamber (CC) if, after resuming feeding the fuel into CC, fire does not die and hunting does not originate again, the FMP is used to increase fuel flow rate into CC half as slow, compared with the engine pick-up characteristics, to a value that allows keeping up the engine rotor rpm at the level preceding to the moment of hunting.
EFFECT: higher engine reliability and safety.
