FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in electronic hydro mechanical automatic control systems (ACS) of gas turbine engines (GTE). Essence of invention consists in the fact that if rotation frequency of free turbine exceeds the first pre-set value determined for each engine by calculation and experiment, fuel flow in combustion chamber is fixed when the value is exceeded and flow is decreased to the level of idle flow; change of rotation frequency of free turbine is controlled if rotation frequency starts decreasing and becomes lower than the second pre-set value determined for each engine by experiment; fuel flow is increased at automatic acceleration control rate to the value fixed at the moment when rotation frequency of free turbine exceeds the first pre-set value.

EFFECT: higher operating reliability of engine and safety of aircraft owing to improving ACS operating quality.
