FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to electric instrumentation and may be used for electric power measurement. To achieve the result, current sensor loading resistance is changed periodically within certain limits. Current sensor is based on current transformer or transformer clamp-on meters. Besides, loading resistance changing period is selected from the response rate of measured value change. Loading resistance values are measured by means of AD converter. Phase offset angles are calculated between input voltage signal and input current signal. Electric power is also calculated. Results are recorded as intermediate. After that, pairs of correction factors for each of current sensor loading resistance value are calculated based on phase offset angles values and known elements of the instrument for input current signal module and of the same signal phase. Correction factors for current module are taken into account when resultant current power and strength is defined.
