FIELD: SHF equipment, development of high-power, broadband traveling wave tubes and their hybrids. SUBSTANCE: in proposed traveling wave tube junction between external path and chain of resonators coupled by slits is formed by waveguide comprising three lengths: first length with large cross-section and smoothly narrowing section between them- transient resonator; second length is confined between section with lesser cross-section and transient resonator and third section is made up of matching elements manufactured from nonmagnetic material and mounted on drift tubes and on surface of extreme disk of chain of resonators intercoupled by slits. Tube includes matching diaphragm separating transient resonator and resonator of chain following it mounted for turn relative to slit between length of waveguide with lesser cross-section and transient resonator and slit in disk which limits resonator next after transient resonator. EFFECT: diminished mass and dimensions, improved homogeneity of focusing magnetic field and achievement of little reflection coefficients right close to low-frequency boundary of bandwidth of chain of resonators coupled by slits. 3 cl, 4 dwg
