SUBSTANCE: invention refers to intensive care of neurosurgery patients and can be used for treatment of diencephalic-catabolic syndrome (DCS) for patients suffering from central nervous system (CNS) affection. Continuous intravenous infusion of Clonidine in dose 0.05-0.3 mkg/kg/h is performed till vegetative stability is achieved that is body temperature not higher 38°C, heart rate not more than 100 beats per minute, arterial pressure at "working" level or not higher than 20% of these factors.

EFFECT: method improves efficiency of treatment and reduces number of complications for patients suffering from central nervous system affection.
