FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: method of silicon dioxide obtaining involves tetraethoxysilane hydrolysis in ethanol medium in the presence of 0.01-0.1 mol of hexafluorsilicate water solution and 1-5 volume % of polyethylene glycol with molecular mass 400, followed by drying of the matured gel by microwave radiation of 300-1000 W power. To manufacture an indicator tube a transparent glass or polymer tube is filled with the obtained powder.
EFFECT: obtaining of silicon dioxide powder of high porosity and manufacturing of indicator tube for express analysis.
