FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns food industries and pharmaceutics, particularly to manufacturing of polymer film indicator for shell life control of food and pharmaceutical products by the time of electrochromic layer decolouration, and can be applied in quality control of food and pharmaceutical products. The method involves covering a polymer film with an optically transparent electroconductive layer, covering that layer with an optically transparent layer of electrochromic tungsten trioxide, colouring tungsten trioxide blue in a liquid electrolyte under effect of electric field, application of a dielectric layer of a polymer film, physical properties of which determine decolouration time, and further laminating of the assembled film structure.

EFFECT: manufacturing of indicators with high colour density sufficient for shelf life control of food and pharmaceutical products.
