FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to applied chemistry and relates to electrochromic film of tungsten trioxide and method for its production. Method for production of electrochromic film of tungsten trioxide (WO3) involves preparation of initial solution from water, precursor and a non-ionic polymer, introduction of initial solution in nozzle of spray head for ultrasonic spraying and obtaining of sprayed droplets, trapping of sprayed droplets controlled by air jet under pressure, thermal transformation of droplets during deposition on a pre-heated substrate to produce electrochromic film; initial solution contains ammonium paratungstate as a precursor and polyvinyl alcohol with a molecular weight (77,000 ± 1000) g/mol, as a non-ionic polymer at a ratio of 1:1 in the amount of 2 % from water content, while substrate temperature is maintained in temperature range from 150 °C to 400 °C.

EFFECT: invention provides obtaining of electrochromic film of tungsten trioxide, obtained by ultrasonic spray pyrolysis from a polymer-salt system, providing the possibility of modulation of transmitted and reflected light flux in visible (400–900 nm) and infrared (5–25 microns) wavelength ranges.
