SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication equipment and can be used for multiplexing/demultiplexing sub-high-speed streams. The system of optical communication includes the optical transferring block and the optical reception block, connected by means of optical fibres, thus the optical transferring block is used in order to convert the introduced electrical signals into optical signals and transmit the optical signal to the optical reception block by the optical fibre, and the optical reception block is used in order to transform the received optical signals to electrical signals and to derive electric signals. In optical signals transferred on optical fibres, the speed of data transfer for at least one wavelength is about 5 Gbps. One or several optical amplifiers can be included in structure between the optical transferring block and the optical reception block.

EFFECT: multiplexing low-speed signals with a range of speed which is suitable for the transfer.
