FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the manufacture of paper and cardboard. To circulating waters of machines for manufacturing paper and cardboard add, at least, one phenol compound isolated from a plant or, at least, one plant extract, or their mix in such concentration which is effective against thermophilic adhesive micro-organisms. The plant extract is obtained from the Japanese rose, French willow, a sage or palmate leaf dropwort. The specified substances apply for the inhibition in the formation of biofilms. For determining of the necessity of adding of antibiofilm in the process of manufacturing of paper or cardboard the following stages are carried out: 1) sampling from the surfaces, from industrial water or raw materials of the machine for manufacturing of paper and cardboard, which must be controlled; 2) if necessary - removal from test of any free inorganic and/or organic materials and suspension of the remaining part of the test in a water solution; 3) stirring of the suspended test in the device for the cultivation with a solution of nutrients and, with the selection with the anti-biofilm; 4) removal of a nourishing solution together with any material which can be isolated together with the specified solution, for example - with planktonic material and bacteria of a biofilm which are inadequately linked to a surface, and dyeing of the microorganisms linked to a wall of the device, and 5) qualitative and/or quantitative determination of the presence of adhesive microorganisms in the suspension test and selection in the suspended test, processed by antibiofilm substance, carried out on the basis of the formation of colour and its intensity
EFFECT: formation biofilms of thermophilic organisms on the surface of machines for manufacturing paper and cardboard at temperature 50-60°C.
