SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the chemical and pharmaceutical industry and is a composition for inhibiting the growth or formation of biofilms of bacteria associated with wound infections, comprising ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid in a concentration of 100 to 500 mg/l of the composition, and sodium citrate in a concentration of 1,000 to 5,000 mg/l of the composition.
EFFECT: invention provides effective inhibition of bacterial growth due to the unexpected synergistic effect obtained by using a combination of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid and sodium citrate at low concentrations.
