FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: electronic magnetic compass incorporating three magnetometres with orthogonal sensitivity axes, three accelerometres with orthogonal sensitivity axes, magnetometre signal modifier, accelerometre signal matching device, analog-to-digital converters, digital module for course calculation, course indicator and power unit is additionally equipped with a digital calculation module for deviation allowance factors and a digital module of full-circulation control with its output connected to the driving input of the digital calculation module for deviation allowance factors. Information inputs of the digital calculation module for deviation allowance factors are connected to the magnetometres' outputs via analog-to-digital converter, while information output of the digital calculation module for deviation allowance factors is connected to the input of digital module for course calculation, the output of which is connected to the course indicator and to the input of digital module of full-circulation control.

EFFECT: improved precision of a compass due to automated calculation and registration of semicircular and quarter deviation allowance.
