FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology.
SUBSTANCE: device includes contact head of high heat conductivity material matching the form of the patient's eyeball, contact head temperature adjustment system in the form of thermoelectric module and heat absorber with work medium, and automation system in the form of control and adjustment unit. The heat absorber is a removable aluminium shell with closed cavity turned in it, filled with work medium and closed by a threaded aluminium plug. The removable shell with metal cylinder absorbing heat at the soldered bearing seam of thermoelectric module is held by a clamp consisting of ring, hook, steel spring and handle. A groove for electric cable combining thermoelectric module and thermal sensors power circuits is cut at the side of the removable shell. The clamp is fixed at the case end opposite to the contact head; the case is a tube of heat insulation material.
EFFECT: extended thermoelectric tool range for contrast thermal effect on human eyes.
