FIELD: technological process.

SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to the method of feeding alumina and aluminium fluoride into aluminium electrolysers. The method involves obtaining a mixture of alumina and aluminium fluoride first and putting this mixture through an access hole into the electrolyser. The mixture is prepared in ratio of the aluminium fluoride to alumina ranging from 1:125 to 1:150 in a feeder of a point feeding system of each electrolyser. The mass of a single dose of the mixture into the feeder in the electrolyser ranges from 0.03 to 0.07 of the total consumption of alumina.

EFFECT: increased output on current, low consumption of fluorine containing materials, the electrolysis process takes place at a given bath ratio and stable temperature, reduced atmospheric pollution of the process building.
