FIELD: production of aluminum by electrolytic method from cryolite-alumina melt.

SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes delivery of fluorides in form of mixture of cryolite and fluoric aluminum to electrolyzer. Mixture of cryolite is fed to electrolyzer in form of secondary mixed cryolite which is just flotation cryolite and regenerated cryolite and fluoric aluminum at the following ratio of components, mass-%: flotation cryolite, 15-83; regenerated cryolite, 5-62; the remainder being fluoric aluminum; fluorides may be fed in form of liquid melt prepared beforehand.

EFFECT: reduced consumption of fluorides; extended technological capabilities.
