FIELD: technological process.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to methods of obtaining oriented monocrystals, used in laser physics, acoustoelectronics, optoelectronics for realising piezoelectric and non-linear optical effects. The monocrystals are grown from a solution on a rectangular inoculum, made from a Z-section of the monocrystal, the dimension of which in the direction is considerably less than in the direction. The solution is put inside a detachable shaper in the form of a closed frame, made from separate planks, each of which is mounted relative to each other. The edges of the inoculum are at angles, which provide for the given shape and the size of the growing monocrystal in the form of a subproduct. For making a rectangular subproduct for a non-linear optics element when growing the monocrystal, the shaping planks are mounted based on the condition of observing synchronism, providing for the rectangular subproducts lying at an angle of 30° to the direction of the growing monocrystal.
EFFECT: allows moving away from the traditional technological process, when a crystal of the given substance with natural habit is obtained when inoculum is freely put in the reaction volume, to a process which allows for obtaining monocrystal-subproduct directly in the growing process, which, on its dimensions and shape, almost match the dimensions and shape the optical element made from it.
