FIELD: radio technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to radio location particularly to radio location measurements and can be used in making radio location measuring units. The device for measuring the effective reflecting area of objects, has a transmitter, a receiving and transmitting antenna, receiver, a unit for evaluating the effective reflecting area, measuring object, a platform with an actuator, circular monorail, shading compensation unit, a switch for the elements of the transmitting antenna and a unit for controlling the switch.
EFFECT: increased quantity of initial data on which the radio location characteristics of objects can be investigated, the basic one of which is radar cross-section in a mode of superimposed and scattered (double position) of receiving-transmitting with different aspect angles and exposure angles and receiving.
