The device for measuring the effective reflecting area of objects, has a transmitter, a receiving and transmitting antenna, receiver, a unit for evaluating the effective reflecting area, measuring object, a platform with an actuator, circular monorail, shading compensation unit, a switch for the elements of the transmitting antenna and a unit for controlling the switch.

EFFECT: increased quantity of initial data on which the radio location characteristics of objects can be investigated, the basic one of which is radar cross-section in a mode of superimposed and scattered (double position) of receiving-transmitting with different aspect angles and exposure angles and receiving.
