FIELD: physics; measurement.
SUBSTANCE: device may be used in open radio metering polygons for measurement of efficient area of dispersion (EPR) of large-size objects and contains serially connected pulse transmitter, antenna switch, antenna, receiver and calculator, to the second inlet of which control panel is connected, the second inlet-outlet of which are connected to the main support-rotary device, on which measured object is installed, and reference reflector, and also contains additional support-rotary device with platform and elevator. Reference reflector is eccentrically installed on platform of additional support-rotary device, elevator of additional support-rotary device is installed between the main support-rotary device and transmitter in single pulse volume with measurement object, and the third inlet-outlet of control panel are connected with additional support-rotary device. Device makes it possible to increase accuracy of large-size object EPR measurement, owing to installation of reference reflector in close proximity to measured object and performance of calibration without removal of measured object from working volume, and also to eliminate component of measurement error conditioned by different level of background in the point of object and reference reflector location, and to reduce electrodynamic interaction of measured object with support-rotary device.
EFFECT: higher accuracy of large-size object EPR measurement with reduction of error.
