FIELD: medicine; traumatology.
SUBSTANCE: device for transossal thread implementation contains a Kirschner wire with a ring located in the middle. The ring is formed by curling the wire. Both ends of the wire are flattened, rounded and have bias notches. From one edge, the bias notches are directed from centre of the wire to its periphery, and from the other edge, from periphery of the wire to its centre. The notches are 2-3 mm depth and 1-5 mm width.
EFFECT: simpler, quicker and safer stitching of transossal thread and increased quality of operative intervention.
