FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: method includes boring of streams at roll barrel, charging into cage and deformation of steel strip in gauges that are formed by streams of adjacent rolls, with supply of cooling water to streams. Deformation in gauges is carried out with drawing coefficient of not more than 1.75 at strip temperature of not more than 1170°C, cooling water to streams is supplied both from the side of strip entry in rolls and from the exit side, roll is manufactured from high-strength cast iron with globe-shaped graphite of regulated chemical composition. Prior to beginning of operation roll is exposed to baking by heating it up to temperature of 600-670°C, pausing at this temperature for 8-30 hours and cooling with the rate of 5-20° c/hour.
EFFECT: increase of rolls resistance and quality of section profiles.
