FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention can be applied in nuclear reactors as an additive to coolant water systems to reduce radioactive contamination level. The blend includes polyvinyl alcohol, polyethylene glycol, water, ethyl alcohol, miristine acid and zinc oxide at the following component ratio, in wt %: polyvinyl alcohol 0.63 - 0.71; polyethylene glycol 0.42 - 0.43; water 32.27 - 34.65; ethyl alcohol 5.42 - 6.67; miristine acid 0.63 - 0.71; the rest being zinc oxide.

EFFECT: obtaining zinc oxide pellets with high density; increase in conditioning pellet number and press-form life cycle.
