FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: device incorporate a platform, drive, support and follow-up rollers, two flywheels linked, via a chain drive, with the drive rollers, devices measuring torques proportional to braking forces on the wheels under test. The rotary platform can turn in the horizontal plane about the vertical axis of rotation and move along it up and down. The said platform incorporates assembly units designed to up and down it relative the support surface, as well as the platform turning mechanism intended for elimination of the tested wheels skew relative to the testbed platform transverse axis. The device can incorporate two separate platforms, one of them turning in horizontal plane and furnished with the up-and-down assembly units and the platform turning mechanism intended for elimination of the tested wheels skew relative to the testbed platform transverse axes.

EFFECT: higher validity and quality of diagnostics of the brakes resulted from ruling out the tested wheels skew relative to the testbed platform transverse axis and self-adjustment of testbed position relative to the vehicle tested axle.
