FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for adjusting the cut rolling down speed on mechanised and automated double inclines. The car retarder consists of braking beams with tires lever-linked with the drive furnished with supports, a post, stops and a base. The lever system is made up of an outer and inner levers mounted on the post. Every lever is furnished with a drive arranged at an equal distance from the common axle of levers attachment and rigidly coupled with the base by means of the stops. The said stops are arranged on the base to lock, by the support, the levers in the braked and brake release positions.

EFFECT: simpler design, higher reliability in operation, smaller overall sizes, lower air consumption.
