FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: invention concerns microbiology and can be applied in detection of antagonistic properties towards pathogenic micobacteria. The method involves seeding intestinal bacteria to lower layer of nutrient medium containing double-substituted potassium phosphate, magnesium sulfate, L-asparagine, glycerin, citric acid, ammoniac iron citrate, humivit, agar and distilled water; heating on bain-marie at 100°C for 5-10 minutes; skewing at room temperature; application of the aforesaid composition to the lower layer; seeding indication micobacteria strain to the upper layer with further cultivation; detection of antagonistic activity by the ratio of indication strain colonies grown on thick nutrient agar to the number of indication strain colonies grown in double-layer medium.

EFFECT: increased efficiency of method for assessing antagonistic properties towards pathogenic micobacteria.
