FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns metallurgy field. Particularly it concerns steelmaking in open-hearth furnace. Method includes charging of scrap steel or metallised pellet, slag-forming material charging, carburising material and material contented ferric oxide, scrubbing dust, melting and final melting. In capacity of carburising material it is used surplus sludge with moisture 30-60%. Surplus sludge is fed as a mixture in amount 10-60%, which is consist of oily slag, fine magnetic product and scrubbing dust of open-hearth furnace. Usage of invention will allow increasing of metal yield, reducing of melt time and reducing of scrap steel and cast iron consumption.
EFFECT: increasing of metal yield, reducing of melt time and reducing of scrap steel and cast iron consumption.
