FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to machine building, particularly to basic parts of machines and mechanisms, namely to wheeled motor vehicle power assembly casings. The casing is made from a low-noise material made up of a basic reinforcing layer coated by a viscoelastic polymer material with a high internal friction. In the casing geometrical center, a tubular ventilation channel is arranged with its open end face facing the flywheel rotation direction. Protective casing can additionally contain four tubular ventilation channels arranged opposite the centers of gravity of arbitrary quadrants formed by intersection of lengthwise and crosswise planes crossing in the protective casing geometrical center. The casing-to-clutch case joint zone incorporates vibration-damping sleeves and a rubber gasket arranged in the said joint.
EFFECT: decreased low- and medium-frequency noise generated by the vehicle engine, lower costs and better performances.
