FIELD: electronics.
SUBSTANCE: invention pertains to electronic circuits. The device for compensating frequency error of a heterodyne has a heterodyne, transceiver, at least one sensor for monitoring at least one variable, which amends the frequency error of the heterodyne and a circuit for determining parameters of the heterodyne, connected to a power amplifier, which is part of the transceiver, and at least one sensor. The method of compensating frequency error of a heterodyne is characterised by that, readings of at least one sensor are averaged and stored in the first mode. That sensor monitors factors which affect frequency error of the heterodyne. The readings include values of parameters of the power amplifier, which include the current working cycle and temperature. The power amplifier is part of the transceiver and in the first mode; an external source with stable frequency is used for the receiver as a source of reference frequency. Several values of frequency error of the heterodyne are averaged and stored in the first mode, determined by the transceiver by comparing the frequency of the external source with stable frequency to the output frequency of the heterodyne and the frequency error is compensated in the second mode, based on the readings of at least one sensor and frequency error of the heterodyne, monitored in the first mode.
EFFECT: reduced frequency errors of the heterodyne for reducing the search area, shortening of the search time and detection of a signal by a receiver.
