DEVICE AIMED AT MAKING ORIFICES DURING VESSELS SURGERY Russian patent published in 2008 - IPC A61B17/32

Abstract RU 2333725 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to surgical instrument and can be used in reconstructive surgery of man's vessels. The device for making orifices during vessels surgery contains a cutting unit and driving mechanism. The cutting unit consists of a tubular element and fungous shaped element installed in it. The tubular element has the inner surface and working end with the cutting edge of the tubular element. The fungous shaped element has a shank and a cap. The cap has a working end. The working end is directed to working end of the tubular element. The intersection of the inner surface of the cap and working end form the cutting edge of the fungous shaped element. The shank of the fungous shaped element is fixed in the drive mechanism in such a way that the cap moves along axis of the inner surface of the tubular element. The working end of the tubular element has two fixing protuberance with tops. The tops are formed with intersection of the inner surface of the tubular element, coaxial cone surface, the top of which is directed to the working end of the cap, and two cross surfaces. The trace of two intersecting planes crosses the axis of the inner surface of the tubular element at right angle. The cutting edge of the tubular element is formed by the trace between the cutting edge of the inner surface of the tubular element and two, above mentioned, intersecting plane. As a result, radial deformation of vessel in the perpendicular direction towards cut and undesired vessel rupture are eliminated, gradual cutting of vessel wall is ensured, and thrust force on the driving mechanism is reduced.

EFFECT: gradual cutting of vessel wall without radial deformation of vessel is ensured; thrust force on the driving mechanism is reduced.
