FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: superconducting strip conductor rectangular cross-section contains matrix made of stabiliser, in which are located superconducting modules of circular section, mounted, according to invention, in a one layer and adjoinin to each other. Modules are implemented with superconducting threads of circular section, located inside of module matrix, longitudinal with central axial thread and adjoining to the internal module envelope. At that module diameter dm is defined from ratio: dm=3dt, where: dt - diameter of superconducting thread, and ratio of cross-section area of threads St to cross-section area of module Sm is equal to:
EFFECT: reduction of losses in wire at passing through it alternating current; increasing of current-carrying ability at passing of direct and alternating currents and simplification of wire fabrication method.
