FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: method of obtaining a heating element relates to the field of electrical engineering and makes it possible to make the heating elements which have carbon fibre as the current-conducting material, and as the insulating material - a synthetic polymer. The method contains the pre-shaping for obtaining the current-conducting material by twisting of the plait of the polymeric threads, processing of the work piece with an aqueous solution of a catalyst, its drying, thermal oxidation at 200÷300°C, carbonisation at 1500÷2000°C and graphitization at 2000÷3000°C. Working of the work piece for the obtaining of a current-conducting material with an aqueous solution of a catalyst is performed at the pressure (2-5) 105 Pa and the temperature 20÷50°C. A layer of insulating material-silicone rubber is put on the current-conducting material by extrusion at 150÷200°C and pressure of (2÷3) 107 Pa.

EFFECT: reduction of operations with the achievement of high physic-mechanical indices and ability to withstand electric breakdown and mechanical loads.
