FIELD: medicine, chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to inversion voltamperometric method for determining pharmaceutical substance carvedilol ([({±})-1-(9H-carbazol-4-elloxy)-3-[[2-(2-methoxyphenoxy)ethyl]amino]propane-2-ol]), and can be used in medicine for determining concentration of carvedilol, which is hypotensive preparation of group of β-adrenoblockers, in blockers. Nitrogen with content of oxygen of less than 0.001% is passed through investigated solution, and, without stopping mixing, electrolysis of solution at potential (-0.4) V is carried out during 210 sec. As acting electrode, graphite electrode with gold sputtering is used. Registration of polarisation curves is carried out at constant-current form of potential sweep with rate of 150 mV/sec, concentration of carvedilol is determined by peak height within potential range from 0.2 V to 0.9 V relative to chlorine-silver electrode at the background of 0.01 mol/L potassium chlorine solution with neutral medium pH.
EFFECT: increased sensitivity and expressiveness of method.
