FIELD: electrical engineering.

SUBSTANCE: method of producing connection for super-conducting cable implies interconnecting two sections of a super-conducting cable made up of a carcass, a super conductor and an insulating layer. The connection procedure includes the preparation of connecting clamp for carcasses connection, sliding the said connecting clamp over and along the ends of carcasses to be connected, jointing the carcasses ends in the said clamp, squeezing the clamp to connect the said carcasses so that the squeezed clamp has the diameter equal to that of super-conducting cable carcass, jointing together the super conductors outside the squeezed clamp so that connected super conductors have the diameter equal to that of the super conductor of the aforesaid cable.

EFFECT: smaller size of connection for super-conducting cable.
