FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: diesel engine fuel system test bed comprises a high-pressure pump with fuel feed rack-and-pinion control, a step motor with a drive mechanism, a pressure converter, a microprocessor-based control unit, a hydraulic circuit. The test bed additionally incorporates a computer and a computer interface intended for converting the interface signals, for examples the RS232 standard signals into the RS485 standard signals. The computer is linked, via the control line, to the micro-processor control unit incorporating high-power transistor gates with the control link to the step motor windings. The step motor is furnished with a screw mechanism driving the fuel pump racks via an additional holder.
EFFECT: higher efficiency and quality of tests due to ruling out subjective effects in tuning high-pressure fuel pumps.
