FIELD: mechanical engineering; diesel engines.
SUBSTANCE: proposed actuating mechanism housing, two control racks (one per each side of V-type high-pressure fuel injection pump) and rack transfer bellcrank. Actuating mechanism is furnished additional with noncontact position pickup of output shaft of electromagnetic slave member rigidly coupled with transfer bellcrank, multiple-pole rotary electromagnetic being used as electromagnetic slave member. Invention makes it possible to install actuating mechanism in vee of high-pressure fuel-injection pump, practically completely under cover, as possibility is provided for direct action onto racks of high-pressure fuel-injection pump, and long mechanical linkage, such as that used in prototype, is not required. So, time constant of proposed electromagnetic mechanism is smaller than that of prototype, and accuracy is increased owing to control action onto racks with-out mechanical linkage.
EFFECT: improved operation of diesel engine under unsteady conditions, reduced fuel consumption per kilometer of run and harmful emission into atmosphere.
