FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: disk cutter contains annular base, which is arranged in the form of disk and has the first thickness. Base contains multiple pin holders arranged together with it and multiple pin inserts fixed to appropriate pin holders. Pin holders are installed along external circumference of base and have tail piece relative to direction of rotation. Base is arranged with multiple thickened parts and notches. Thickened parts are installed along specified tail parts of pin holders. Notches are installed between neighbouring pin holders. Every pin insert has the second thickness, and thickened parts have the third thickness. At that the third thickness is more than the first thickness and less than the second thickness.
EFFECT: suppression of transverse vibrations in process of cutting without increase of tool weight.
