FIELD: physics, communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns communication technology and can be applied as digital information reception and transmission system (IRTS). To achieve the objective, at the transmitting side information sources are formatted if required, binary digital data streams (BDDS) are compressed in compression unit, modulated in low-frequency modulator and converted into signal stream; and at the receiving side, in reverse order, signal stream is demodulated in low-frequency demodulator, converted into compressed BDDS, decompressed in decompression unit, formatted if required, and presented to information users. If required, signal streams from other information source groups are summated at the transmitting side, and separated in multiple access units at the receiving side. Compression unit processor can produce sequenced BDDS binary digit reading over a single time step and digit multiplication by positive numbers, e.g. of rapidly increasing numbers formed by Merkle-Hellman scheme, and summation of multiplied values to obtain digital symbol flow. Decompression unit processor can convert digital symbol stream by Merkle-Hellman scheme over a single time step.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of frequency resource utilisation.
