FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: system for transmitting and receiving information consists of a series of functionally connected heterogeneous information sources, unit for compressing binary digital streams, high frequency signal modulator, transmitter, communication channel, receiver, high frequency signal demodulator, decompression unit, information users and, if necessary, unit for formatting and multiple access. The compression unit is made with provision producing in its processor, from 1 to K binary digits of synchronised binary digital streams, simultaneously after each readout cycle, multiplication by positive numbers, which are generated, for example from rapidly rising numbers, using the Merkle-Hellman method, and summation of the values with obtaining of a stream of digital symbols. The decompression unit is made with provision for, simultaneously in one cycle, converting, in its processor, a stream of digital symbols, in accordance with the Merkle-Hellman method, into another stream of digital symbols, which are later converted.
EFFECT: increased efficiency of using frequency response.
