FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry. Method of heating food product before its use implies initiating exothermic chemical reaction by supplying liquid reagent to the solid reagent. During the exothermic chemical reaction walls of the vessel with the food product being heated are treated with the heated vapour-gas mixture resulting from the reaction. Liquid reagent is supplied to and distributed over the solid reagent surface through a metering device with hydraulic resistance. Thus control over both exothermic chemical reaction period and its temporal heat productivity depending on the quantity of the food product being heated is ensured.
EFFECT: ensuring control over both exothermic chemical reaction period and its temporal heat productivity depending on the quantity of the food product being heated.
