FIELD: food industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to food industry. The method of heating food product in a container implies initiation of exothermic reaction in the reaction chamber which is in thermal contact with the container or the food product in it. Solid reagent is placed into the reaction chamber. Closed chamber placed in the reaction chamber is filled with liquid reagent with following pressure increase. Exothermic reaction is initiated by producing a hole in the closed chamber wall. The hole dimensions are to ensure introduction of the first liquid reagent portion into the reaction chamber section with solid reagent in the amount provided only by the pressure of liquid reagent.
EFFECT: simplifying the product package design and improving its technical characteristics.
