FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: in reaction chamber that is in thermal contact with container with food product, exothermal reaction is initiated by means of the following mixture interaction with water: zinc powder, powder of copper sulfate pentahydrate and powder of magnesium alloy that contains magnesium and aluminium, accordingly, 50.50 and 49.25 mass %. Quantity of magnesium alloy powder is selected in grams in accordance with volume V of container with food product within the range from 0.1 l to 1.0 l on the basis of dependence K=4.95+0.5-(V-0.1). Exothermal reaction is initiated at the following ratio of powder components and water, in mass parts: magnesium alloy - 1, copper sulfate pentahydrate - 11.0÷11.5, zinc - 5.9÷6.1, water - 4.3÷4.5.
EFFECT: at minimum toxicity of applied components provides high rate of food product heating up to preset working temperature.
