SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine and may be used to diagnose the types of individual mechanisms of attitude coordinating and regulating function realization associated with predominance of a certain brain structural-functional level in function regulation as well as individual typological features of attention; voluntary and involuntary attention stability. A test object (TO) is presented. Then it is determined what image the testee perceives at first presentation, without explanation of TO duplicity. When the testee sees two variants of perception, he/she receives a task to observe the TO for 2 min. The amount of automatic "accesses" for that time is counted. Then the testee performs the task to "withhold", first, one image, and then another image for two minutes. The amount of "accesses" is also counted. Individual amount of automatic oscillations is compared with the average amount of double image oscillations performing those two tasks and with the overall average amount of the automatic oscillations. The method is implemented using the offered device. The method and device allow determination of correlations of extramental attitude with conscious attitude by investigating individual features of the double image "accesses" in dynamics and "withholding" each of 2 possible variants of its perception, as well as individual features of binocular inversion of the three-dimensional volume double TO depth and automatic "withholding" of its supposed and actual image.

EFFECT: establishment of correlation of extramental attitude with conscious attitude as well as individual features of binocular inversion of the three-dimensional volume double TO depth and automatic "withholding" of its supposed and actual image.
